Crazy Car Rampaged in Sanya

Last night at about 11 o'clock on the bystreet of Sanya ShangPinJie, a business car rampaged over 300 meters from the 8th alley through the 1st ‘alley’, which actually is another main street with heavy traffic connected to ShangPinJie, injuring 5 people and damaging numerous stalls and vehicles along the way.

According to eyewitnesses, the crazy car first hit down a pedestrian near the 8th alley and started to escape desperately in spite of the injured, making further damages before stopping at the 1st ‘alley’ which has the densest traffic around the district of ShangPinJie.

Over 300 meters along the bystreet became a scene of total mess, damaged stalls and vehicles lying everywhere. The bystreet is a famous night market for delicious food and snacks in Sanya, but frequented by locals more than visitors. People were very angry at the driver’s arrogant, irresponsible act of escape regardless of people’s life and property. Some raging people smashed the abandoned crazy car immediately after the driver and his friends escaped the scene.

Suspected of being caused by drunk driving, the accident was under investigation by Sanya police and the injured people were sent to Sanya People’s Hospital for medicare.
