October 26, Chong Yang Festival -- Double Ninth Festival, a traditional festival on the ninth day of the ninth lunar month, literally "double yang" because 9 is the biggest of the ’yang’ (odd) digits, which is observed by climbing mountains and displaying chrysanthemums – CangHaiLou (literally deep blue sea pavilion), a pavilion dubbed “#1 pavilion by the South China Sea” as well as “China's southernmost pavilion”, was completed on the Hongxia Ridge – the mountain peak at Yalong bay.
As a landmark building of Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park, built on a 4.8-meter high base, the 3-storey and 16.39-meter high CangHainLou embodies a rich combination of ancient Chinese architectural style by employing such structures and construction practices as rising ridges, flying eaves, carved beams, tassels, eave tiles, auspicious animals, white marble relief, bronze clouds, lotus lamp posts.
The top floor commands a panoramic view of Yalong Bay, Begonia Bay, Yulin Bay, Sanya Bay, Hongtang Bay and the surrounding isles.
